HAPPY (CHINESE) NEW YEAR!: Alice Yeung, left, co-owner of Panya Bistro, welcomed G-Dog, Jodie Luke and Kawika Kanae to the first Panya "Full Moon Party" on Wednesday. Yeung and her sister, Annie, plan to present a different theme party each month at their Ala Moana restaurant, and the first one -- "Year of the Rooster," naturally -- got off to a good start. It was almost an overflow turnout, but the party never felt congested, the clientele was well mannered and the buffet was the perfect final touch. Alice and Annie will have something different for March. In the meantime, G-Dog and the Stone Groove Family are introducing a new "Bitchen' Kitchen" party at Sam Choy's Diamond Head restaurant on Thursday.

A HOT BACARDI NIGHT: Lance Rae and gal pal Lisa Kass celebrated at the Panya party. Rae dressed for the occasion in a dragon-themed aloha shirt. Partyers who arrived fashionably on time received blinking Bacardi logo medallions, flashing pins, tank tops, slippers and other mementos.

HAPPY WITH 'HITCH': KITV newscaster Jill Kuramoto and husband "Big Beer Dave" Randall enjoyed a preview screening of Will Smith's romantic comedy "Hitch" at Dole Cannery on Wednesday. When Randall said the romantic hi-jinks "reminded me of my college days," Kuramoto laughed, "I'm glad I didn't know him then!"

ULTRA DANCERS: Jackie Robinson, left, and daughter Jasline Berry chilled after they'd heated up the dance floor at Peter Maharaj's Maharaja Ultra Lounge in the Waikiki Beach Marriott on Thursday. Robinson flew in from San Francisco for the Pro Bowl. DJ R.O.B. flew in to play the Ultra Lounge.

'FOR THE LOVE OF ...': Cast members Jessi Romo, left, Cassandra Eaton, Dane Justman, Frank South and Barry Brandt took a break after several taped readings of scenes from Roger Wilco's next movie, "For the Love of God," on Thursday. South said he drew on his Hollywood experiences in developing the character of an abrasive movie producer. Wilco expects to have the film out by the end of the year.
