SUNDAY TRAVEL
Experience French sceneryScenic highlights of the south of France will be presented by Hawaii Geographic Society President Dennis Callan beginning at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Tenney Theatre at St. Andrew's Cathedral. Three video projectors will be set up in the multiple-image "Journey to the South of France," which will "give you the feeling of being there, surrounded by the colorful sights and sounds," said Callan, who photographed the scenes on a November trip that included the towns of Arles, Avignon, Carcassonne, Nice and Lyon, with side trips to smaller villages along the way. Shown will be images of people, architecture, shops and natural scenery. "Conditions were perfect," he says, "with ideal weather, uncrowded villages and a fascinating itinerary that kept us moving along through some of the prettiest countryside, villages and cities in Europe." Admission is free. For more information, call 528-4411.
