He previously served as Fairmont Specialty Group's executive vice president.

» Hilo Hattie has promoted Dirck Noordhoff to general merchandise manager. He will be responsible for the company's buying office, production planning department and design department. He previously served as Disney Resorts' merchandise category manager.

» The Hawaiian Insurance & Guaranty Co. has appointed Alberto Gorla general ledger accountant and hired Maya Kawaguchi as executive administrative assistant. Gorla is responsible for overseeing general ledger, reconciliation and reporting functions for the accounting department. He previously worked for Oracle in Austria. Kawaguchi will be assisting the company president. She previously served as a Legislative Auditor's Office assistant analyst and as a budget analyst at the state House.

» Lord, Abbett & Co. has hired Reid Takamoto as a national sales group regional manager. He will be responsible for enhancing the firm's coverage of Hawaii. He previously served as a First Hawaiian Bank investment specialist and product manager.
