artin Denny swings back into action on the piano at La Pietra Sunday Feb. 13 to take part in the "From the Heart," benefit for tsunami aid in the school's gym. The 93-year-old Denny will join
Shari Lynn, Jimmy Borges, Azure McCall and
Wade Cambern in a reprise of Sunset Jazz, an annual La Pietra event. The music, billed as Act II of La Pietra's annual school play, "La Nuit de Reves," or "Night of Dreams," starts at 4 p.m. The cabaret-style production begins at 2 p.m. Call 922-2744 for tickets ...
The "Happy Days" 30th reunion show Thursday night brought back loads of memories. Ron Howard has come a long way since he, Henry Winkler and the rest of the gang had all those adventures in the show. Producer Gary Marshall was an excellent host. And doesn't chef Nick Sayada look a lot like Marshall? I think so. I would have liked to see more of old pal Pat Morita on the reunion show. Pat has many friends here ...

Bishop Museum hosts the fifth Mary Kawena Pukui Storytelling Festival that will be part of the museum's first Family Sunday of the Year Feb. 13 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The annual festival brings together storytellers from Hawaii, Alaska and Massachusetts. Local authors such as Momi Lum, Leimomi Akana, Leonard Villanueva, Jean Ariyoshi and illustrator Roy Chang will be on hand to autograph their latest books. There will also be Hawaiian games, crafts and food booths. Music and dance will be presented by Pu'ukani, Halau Na Pua Mai Ka Lani and the Pacific School of the Performing Arts ...
