Shed locks for charity

If you've got hair to spare, another Locks of Love drive will take place at J Salon between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Sunday.

A deejay will be providing entertainment, and a portion of all retail sales that day will be donated to Locks of Love. In addition, each donor will also receive a $50 Banana Republic gift card.

Make an appointment in advance by calling 550-4441. Hair donations should be 10 inches or longer and free from chemical damage (i.e. bleached hair).

Owner Joe Randazzo will continue to cut long hair free of charge for Locks of Love donors from here on out. He just recently cut 19 inches of hair from a man who had just gotten called back to the Army Reserves.

Locks of Love is a the non-profit organization that creates hairpieces for children who have lost their hair due to burns or illness.

Treat your feet

Larry Garrett with Stuart Weitzman Shoes will be in town Jan. 21 and 22 for a trunk show of glamourous shoes, sandals and stilettos at Neiman Marcus.

As Weitzman's right-hand man, Garrett is well-versed in the process of creating some of the world's most beautiful shoes, often with precious gems, as well as the rich and famous celebrities who wear them.
