The fire caused temporary traffic problems for downtown commuters yesterday morning.
Firefighters were called at 7:25 a.m. to a report of a building fire. They arrived to find a fire in a storage room in the parking structure. The fire was quickly brought under control. No one was hurt.
Police closed Queen Street between Alakea and Bishop streets for about an hour and fifteen minutes as firefighters extinguished the blaze.
The fire caused an estimated $7,000 in damage: $4,000 to the building and $3,000 to the contents.
The incident occurred in Waianae on Saturday, between 6 and 9 p.m., and involved two boys, ages 7 and 9, police said.
Police arrested the suspects, ages 14 and 15, for investigation of third-degree sexual assault and promoting child abuse.
Police said Peter Reyes is doing fine and was found about 1:30 p.m. They declined to say where he was located. Reyes was last seen leaving the Waikele Shopping Center about 1:30 p.m. Saturday.
Police said the fingerprints of the suspect, a student at the school, were found after an Oct. 1 burglary.
The suspect also was identified in a photographic lineup as the person responsible for a 7:35 p.m. Oct. 2 burglary at the school, police said.
Police arrested the teen at the school on suspicion of second-degree burglary in both cases.
Police said the man broke into a Kailua home on Oct. 14 at 3:10 a.m.
The suspect was arrested after being positively identified in a photographic lineup.
The fire, at 92-8430 King Kamehameha Blvd., was reported at about 8:24 p.m. The building's occupant, Robert Hulteen, told firefighters he was eating dinner in the main house with the building's owner, Jacquelynn Woodmansee, when they noticed an orange glow, and the building engulfed in flames. It took firefighters 2 1/2 hours to extinguish the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
