Esene continued to be the dominant player for the Vulcans (15-1, 3-1) and in the conference, averaging 27.7 points and 6.7 rebounds a game in three PacWest wins last week. He was 24-for-41 from the field (58.5 percent) and 31-for-37 from the line (83.8).

It was the third weekly honor this season for Esene, who leads the PacWest in scoring (21.3 ppg), and ranks in the top 10 in four other statistical categories: field-goal percentage (54.9), free-throw percentage (78.8), rebounding (5.8) and 3-point percentage (39.0).
