NFL ISLANDERS

Starters

University of Hawaii
Jason Elam, Kicker / Denver
Made 4 FGs (45, 23, 40, 40) and 3 PATs as team clinched playoff spot. Totalled 129 points this season, second-best in his 12-year career (132 in 1995) and second-best in the NFL. Made 85.3 percent of field-goal attempts, third-best in his career.
Kynan Forney, Guard / Atlanta
Offense tallied 353 yds., as several starters on NFC South champions got rest in preparation for playoffs.
Ashley Lelie (Radford), Wide Receiver / Denver
Three catches for 70 yds., including a 38-yd. score. Also, just missed a 31-yd. score when he caught a pass in the end zone but couldn't get both feet down inbounds. Ended season with 54 catches for 1,084 yds. and 7 TDs (all career highs)
Vincent Manuwai (Farrington), Guard / Jacksonville
Offense good for only 242 yds., but allowed only 1 sack.
Mat McBriar, Punter / Dallas
Punted twice for a 47.5-yd. average, including a long of 58 yds. Finished the season with an average of 42.5 yds. per punt, seventh-best in the NFC.
Pisa Tinoisamoa, Linebacker / St. Louis
Six solo tackles as Rams earned wild-card berth. His tackles numbers improved this season, with 76 solo and 19 assists after having 63 and 13 last season. But he had fewer sacks (dropping from 2 to 1.5), made no interceptions and forced no fumbles (after intercepting 3 passes and forcing 5 fumbles in 2003, his rookie season).
Jeff Ulbrich, Linebacker / San Francisco
Led team with 12 tackles (3 solo) as the 49ers closed out a frustrating season with a loss to the Patriots. Ulbrich had a strong season though, with a career-best 92 tackles (73 solo).
