Our world

A peek through the lens

The world is full of talented folk, driven by passion and the desire to grow, seeking continually to improve upon oneself. As human beings with aesthetic sensibility, we strive for refinement.

Note, then, the efforts of members of the Hawaii Photographic Society, who offer interesting, colorful, engaging takes on the world around us, in their 2004 photographic exhibit at the Canon Photo Gallery. Also note, however, that the show wraps up on Wednesday. Clear an hour early this week to enjoy this photographic exploration of the artistic impulse.

The Canon Photo Gallery is located at 210 Ward Avenue, suite 200. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays to Fridays. Call 522-5930.
