‘Winterfresh’ scheduled
at Pipeline Cafe

Planning on spending Friday night at home for the Christmas holiday? Lucky for you, there's enough to do earlier in the week (besides finishing up all your shopping) before it's time to settle down and chill out with the family.

Tomorrow night, there's the new "Wet" party at the Living Room, or you could dress up in your best white attire for Rick Rock's "Winterfresh" at Pipeline Cafe ... Thursday night is all about live music, with Natural Vibrations hosting their first annual Christmas party at the Hawaiian Hut. They'll be joined by Ho'onu'a and Humble Soul ... And just down the street that same night, Pimpbot and the newly-formed Bender Trio perform at the Wave Waikiki ...

I HAD to wait eight months longer than I was originally told, but I finally got a look at the new issue of Singles in Town Magazine a couple of weeks ago.

Publisher Emily Lopez hosted a release party at her newest venture, The Honolulu Penthouse atop Century Center, not to be confused with the Long Life Center one floor below. Part-time Hawaii resident Peter Philip Wingsoe now serves as editor of the publication, which also features the work of former Star-Bulletin photographer and Soullenz Gallery owner Ronen Zilberman.

Even if you don't pick up a copy of Singles in Town, you'll probably want to check out Lopez's space at the Century Center. She'll host a "Champagne Sunday Brunch" this weekend from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. You'll have to pay $35 to get in, but the view alone makes it worth every penny. Call 941-9098 for reservations ...

A COUPLE of concerts were also announced last week -- tickets are on sale for NOFX at Pipeline Cafe on Feb. 26 at all Ticketmaster outlets, and Me First and the Gimme Gimmes will play at Pink Cadillac on Mar. 5. Check out www.808shows.com for more info ...
