Seniors wanted for TVSuper seniors are needed for a new television program, "The Silent Majority," set to air next year on KHON. "The Silent Majority" ran as a one-hour pilot earlier this year on KFVE and KGMB. Sponsors Bankers Life and Casualty ordered the additional episodes. Like the pilot, the series will be hosted by 69-year-old Hank Stackpole, who served in the U.S. Marine Corps for 36 years, before retiring as a three-star general in 1994. Each episode will feature four seniors sharing stories of old Hawaii, giving their views of Hawaii today and offering words of wisdom for the younger generation. Segments include:
» "Seniors Meeting Seniors": A visit by the seniors to the senior class at a local high school.
To suggest a senior for the program, e-mail executive producer Seth Feldman at seth@showdoctor.com.» "Medical Minute": Focusing on senior health issues. » "Facing the Future": Advice from one of the state's top financial advisors. The series will run for 12 weeks, beginning at 5:30 p.m. March 6.
