As part of World AIDS Day, more than a hundred people gathered yesterday at St. Andrew's Cathedral for a memorial service. The program featured speakers who told stories of AIDS and how it affected women around the world. Nearly a million Americans have the AIDS virus, and national efforts to stem the disease lag despite a campaign launched in 2001.
