not ‘Lost’ at all
ABC's "Lost" has gotten major national magazine publicity, with a cover story in the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly (with stars
Matthew Fox and
Evangeline Lilly) and a "Ladies of 'Lost' " fashion feature in US Weekly.
The castaway drama, which also stars Yunjin Kim and Daniel Dae Kim, will be broadcast on South Korea's KBS network beginning Christmas Day. This will be the first time for KBS to import a show that is still in its U.S. run, rather than waiting for the season to end.
After two new episodes tonight and Dec. 8, "Lost" goes into reruns until Jan. 5. ABC will air the first six episodes on Dec. 15, 22 and 29.
The show's first-season DVD set is the planning stages, so also expect deleted scenes and behind-the-scenes documentary features, all in widescreen format.
The DVDs could possibly be out just before season two. One of the original marketing plans was to release the pilot episode DVD three weeks after it aired. A DVD team was sent to Hawaii to shoot footage.
The earliest Fox's "North Shore" production team will learn if the show is picked up for a second season will be mid-January, about the time the final episode, described as "a cliffhanger," is completed. If "NS" is picked up as a summer show, the production would begin prepping in March, with filming in April. If "NS" becomes a fall show, Fox could wait until mid-year to announce its decision ...
In the "you gotta be kidding" department, Bruce Willis is suing Revolution Studios and "Tears of the Sun" special effects foreman Joe Pancake of negligence and "ultra hazardous activity," asking unspecified damages in connection with a facial injury he suffered during shooting of the Oahu-based war drama in 2002.
Willis allegedly was hurt during filming of a firefight sequence when a ground squib, intended to simulate a bullet impact, launched a projectile that struck him in the face.
Willis, who reportedly received $20 million to do the film, says he suffered "substantial injuries," as well as "extreme mental, physical and emotional pain and suffering" ...
