		"Spirit of Hula" by Leilani Petranik (Mutual, $17.95) Petranik has gathered together dozens of artists' impressions of hula, plus lyrical quotes from kumu hula, and so this is likely a must-have keepsake for anyone interested in the art. Hula is not easily captured on paper, however, and the art here is way too serious. I just wish it were more fun.
		"Paper Dyeing for Collage & Crafts" by Gloria Foss and Susan Rogers-Aregger (Belknap, $24.95) Belknap is one of Honolulu's premier reproduction houses, which aids immeasurably in the sensitive printing of the delicate hues of dyed-paper artworks. The authors are masters of the craft and share their secrets in easy-to-follow steps. Included are many examples and a basic course in composition. Fascinating and useful.
