Moody's to mull upgrading Bankoh

Moody's Investors Service said yesterday it is reviewing Bank of Hawaii Corp.'s credit ratings for a possible upgrade.

The company said the review will focus on Bank of Hawaii's success in further reducing its single-loan concentrations while maintaining its good financial performances and the bank's market position in the state.

Moody's said Bank of Hawaii has made progress in the past four years reducing its risk profile by decreasing its exposure to a number of higher-risk commercial sectors such as shared national credits, international exposures and airlines.
