"MR. NOLTE, I PRESUME?": Peter Noone, center, talked backstage with Tom Moffatt, right, and John Matthews of Oldies 107.9, before taking the stage at Moffatt's "British Invasion" concert in Blaisdell Arena on Sunday. Noone, known since the 1960s as Herman of Herman's Hermits, joked about being mistaken for actor Nick Nolte, and added a satircal note by promising to follow exactly the example by Gerry Marsden earlier in the show by leaving the stage, and then returning with feigned amazement before doing the obviously pre-planned "encore."

AND THE BALL CONTINUED: HOT executive director Karen Tiller, fourth from left, enjoyed the beautifully staged Chinese-theme fund-raiser with Brian Morrow, left, Kristen Chan, Guy Merola and Mark Wong.
