700 attend Eid ul Fitr, marking
the end of the Ramadan fast

Reyhan Ma bowed her head in prayer yesterday at the Eid ul Fitr festival in Kapiolani Park, celebrating the end of Ramadan. The holiest month of the year for Muslims, Ramadan is marked by fasting, abstinence and reading scripture.

Rain did not keep Oahu Muslims from celebrating. An estimated 700 people attended the Eid ul Fitr yesterday, which included prayer and breakfast.
