HONORING EDDIE: Eddie Kamae, standing, and the Hawaiian Legacy Foundation celebrated the release of his book, "Hawaiian Son," with a private reception at the Halekulani yesterday morning. Among friends who stopped by to congratulate Kamae and his wife, Myrna, standing right, were Ray Kane; his wife, Elodia, standing; and their daughter Moana Arakaki. Kamae was joined by Mike Kaawa and Ocean Kaowili for a short musical performance after the formal presentation. Kaowili and Kaawa then went over to the Kanes to share a few songs with them.
