Dietician speaks on long-term health

George Eisman, a registered dietitian, will speak on foods and their impact on long-term health, 7 p.m. Saturday at McCoy Pavilion, Ala Moana Beach Park.

Eisman created the nation's first accredited program in vegetarian studies and wrote the book "The Most Noble Diet." He teaches the VEGEDINE Home-Study Course in Vegetarian and Vegan Nutrition.

His talk will cover understanding food labels, evaluating your diet and sorting out conflicting information on nutrition.
