Leeward College offers
winter program for kids

Children ages 6 through 13 are invited to attend the Youth SMARTS Academy Winter Program offered by Leeward Community College at its Pearl City campus.

The academy offers classes in science, math and the arts, from Dec. 20 through Jan. 7, in three separate one-week sessions. Half- and full-day options are available.

The half-day program runs from 8 a.m. to noon and costs $75 a session. The full-day option is 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and costs $125 a session. After-program care is also available at additional cost.

Parents are encouraged to attend classes with their child and need not pay tuition.
