CONGRATULATIONS, CPK!: Carole Kai helped serve the overflow crowd as Larry Flax celebrated Friday's reopening of California Pizza Kitchen in Kahala Mall by treating hundreds of invited guests to free food and soft drinks. Flax said the heavy rain was a good omen because there had been 10 days of rain when he opened CPK-Kahala back in 1987.

Clifton is heard during the scene changes as a local disc jockey, and Gudoy is one of her callers. The two co-starred in "Da Mayah" at Kumu Kahua in 1998.
