Sugai earns another awardOne day after being named to the Western Athletic Conference first team, Wahine midfielder Joelle Sugai was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District VIII women's soccer first team.Sugai holds a 3.78 GPA as a pre-business major. She's a three-time scholar athlete and twice has been named to the academic All-WAC team. On the field, she has started in 80 consecutive games, which is the most in UH history, and is second all time in assists with 19.
Crimestoppers teams up with golfTwelve golf courses from around the island will take part in the Take a Swing at Crime charity promotion during the months of November and December.During their round of golf, players who give a $10 donation to the charity program sponsored by Crimestoppers will receive a complimentary daily admission ticket to the Sony Open in January. Courses participating include Coral Creek and Luna Hills on Nov. 6; Hawaii Kai and Hawaii Prince on Nov. 13; Pearl and Barber's Point on Nov. 20; and Mililani and Kapolei on Nov. 27. UH alumni tailgate set for Fresno State gameA UH alumni tailgating event for the Warriors' Nov. 12 game against Fresno State in Fresno, Calif., is being organized.
