Jude Law, left, plays a Manhattan limo driver who has a knack for womanizing, with Marisa Tomei playing the role of one of his many victims.

Movies opening this Friday:

» "Alfie": The Jude Law fall movie season continues with this tribute to the 1966 British movie that won an Oscar for actor Michael Caine. This time, Law plays the likable guy with avoidance issues, a limo driver in Manhattan who has a way with words and women, in particular Marisa Tomei, Jane Krakowski, Nia Long and Sienna Miller. As a side note, Law, fresh off his divorce with his wife of six years, actor Sadie Frost, developed a romance with Miller while filming. (R)

» "The Incredibles": Brad Bird, creator of the critically lauded 1999 animated feature "The Iron Giant," brings to the top-notch Pixar computer animation studio a story about a superhero clan living incognito in the suburbs of Anytown, USA. Once one of the world's top masked crime-fighters, Mr. Incredible (voiced by Craig T. Nelson) and his equally superpowered wife (Holly Hunter) have had to take on mundane civilian identities because of lawsuits surrounding his superhero escapades. Fifteen years later, now with a teenage daughter with invisibility powers and a hyper speedster of a son rounding out the family unit, the sidelined superhero gets a chance to come out of retirement when an old arch enemy threatens the fate of the world. But can he do battle with Syndrome (Jason Lee) on his own? (PG)
