As we have done in the last session, we need increased criminal penalties and stiffer jail sentences for drug dealers and manufacturers; provide treatment programs for first time nonviolent offenders; create prevention programs that focus on our youth .

I bring a fresh perspective to the Legislature. I am an educator with at-risk youth who understands the need for true education reform. I am a businessman who understands the needs and frustrations of doing business in Hawaii.
What would you do to combat the state's crystal methamphetamine abuse epidemic?
Drug education in the schools starting at the grade school level and continuing up to high school. Give law enforcement the power needed to be able to combat this epidemic. Harsher penalties for repeat drug offenders.
What can the Legislature do to improve Oahu's traffic congestion?
There is not one silver bullet to improve traffic. Simple timing of the lights, delayed freeway entrance. Express lanes for buses, carpools and businesses.
