» C.F. Jordan LP has hired Edward McSweeney as its federal division executive vice president. He has over 25 years of construction experience. He has managed international projects in Asia, the Middle East and Africa.

» Maui Economic Opportunity Inc. has appointed Keith McKeague as housing director. He will be responsible for the overall management, planning, program development and operations of the company's housing program. He has operated several successful businesses on the mainland and has a background in management, finance, sales and marketing.

» The Retail Merchants of Hawaii have awarded Peter Schall the 2004 Governor's Hookela Award for exemplary service to the retail industry. He is the Hilton Hotels Corp. Hawaii Region senior vice president and the Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort & Spa managing director.

» The Young Lawyers Division has awarded three honorees at the 2004 Hawaii State Bar Association Annual Bar Convention. Edward Kubo Jr. was presented the Justice Award for outstanding contribution to the ideals of justice at the federal level. He is the district of Hawaii U.S. Attorney. Nathan Nikaido was presented the Liberty Bell Award for outstanding contribution to community in a law-related field. He is a Mediation of the Pacific accountant. Adrienne Iwamoto Suarez was awarded Best Law Student Paper. The division annually recognizes one student from papers submitted by second-year law students at the William S. Richardson School of Law

» The International Council of Shopping Centers has appointed new Western Division officers for Hawaii. Marlene DeCosta has been appointed state director. She works as CB Richard Ellis' managing director/asset services. Anne Murata has been appointed government relations committee chair. She works as the Festival Cos./Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center marketing director. Barbara Campbell has been appointed state operations chair. She works as Outrigger Hotels & Resorts' vice president of retail leasing. Debra Medeiros has been appointed state retail chair. She works as Waikiki Trader Corp.'s corporate secretary.

» Bishop Museum has elected the following 2005-2006 officers: David C. Hulihee, chairman; W. Allen Doane, vice chairman; Michael E. O'Neill, vice chairman; and S. Haunani Apoliona, secretary. In addition, three new members were elected for a three-year term: Charman Akina, Robert A. Alm and Gaylord Wilcox.
