The Bloomberg Honolulu Star-Bulletin Index is a price-weighted index designed to measure the performance of Hawaii-based companies. The index was developed with a base value of 100 as of December 31, 1999. A chart of the index which shows the weekly performance of its members is published weekly in the Honolulu Star-Bulletin.



Slight lift


Hawaiian Airlines' parent rose for the first time in six weeks to lead nine other local stocks in the Bloomberg Honolulu Star-Bulletin index. Hawaiian Holdings Inc. gained 2.2 percent this week to close at $6.03.

Bank of Hawaii Corp. edged up just 0.9 percent, but it was good enough for the stock to hit an all-time high of $49.94 in posting the second-best performance of the week. Bank of Hawaii reports its third-quarter earnings later this month.

Cyanotech Corp. posted the worst performance as it slipped 3.3 percent to $1.16.
