Charity benefits from
Pier 1 makeover
Star-Bulletin staff
Ka Pa Ola, a Child and Family Service group home, received a free room makeover from Pier 1 Imports as part of the home decorating store's grand opening celebration. Ka Pa Ola and the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation were the two charities selected by Pier 1 to receive room makeovers and 20 percent of the sales from the grand opening of the Pearl Highlands store on Oct. 16th. Pictured in the newly decorated common room are Christy MacPherson, program director of Ka Pa Ola; Patti Riordan, Pier 1 Imports chief designer, and Doneica Litalien, Ka Pa Ola therapist.
Riordan headed the redesign project and decorated the home's common room with new paint, furniture and accessories.
