He will be responsible for new business development and client service. He previously worked in Honolulu for a national insurance company. Tanaka has been hired as an account manager. She will oversee the surety department, issue bid and performance bonds, and help manage the construction services division. She previously worked in a local insurance agency's bond department.

» Bishop Museum has appointed Amy Miller director of development. She will be oversee the museum's fund-raising efforts. She most recently served as the Kewalo Basin Marine Mammal Lab and the Dolphin Institute development coordinator and graduate researcher.
