[ PREVIEW ]
Movies opening this Friday: "Friday Night Lights": Based on a best-selling book about a small-town high school football team's emotional quest for the Texas state championship, the movie stars Derek Luke ("Antwone Fisher") as the team's star running back, and Billy Bob Thornton as his coach. (PG-13) "Raise Your Voice": Hilary Duff (who'll be in concert here at the end of the month) stars as a small-town girl who becomes a student at a Los Angeles performing arts school after her brother's accidental death. (PG) "Taxi": This movie's got nothing to do with the hit sitcom of yore, but is based on one of France's all-time top movies. In the U.S. version, a young, eager cop (Jimmy Fallon) enlists Queen Latifah and her souped-up New York City cab to nab a band of Brazilian bank-robbing hotties. (PG-13)
