Mililani vaults
ahead to No. 3

The Mililani Trojans have finally moved up to No. 3 in the Star-Bulletin Top 10, but it took an odd twist of fate by the Kamehameha Warriors.

Kamehameha's 21-20 loss to Saint Louis convinced enough voters to move Mililani ahead of the Warriors.

Kahuku remained locked at No. 1, while Saint Louis remained second.

Saint Louis eluded a tie in its Interscholastic League of Honolulu opener when Kamehameha's PAT attempt sailed wide right in the final minute of play. The extra-point try became a 35-yard attempt after officials penalized Kamehameha for excessive celebration after a touchdown pass.

The only other change in the poll came at No. 8. Lahainaluna moved up a notch after toppling King Kekaulike 16-10. It was Lahainaluna's first homecoming game on campus in years.
