A BIG NIGHT FOR BERNSTEIN FANS: Maestro Samuel Wong, left, talked backstage with guest violinist Cho-Liang Lin after they opened the Honolulu Symphony's Masterworks series with Bernstein's "Serenade for Violin and Orchestra" in the Blaisdell Concert Hall on Friday. Lin's exquisite performance as the featured soloist was nicely supported by maestro Wong and the symphony, and Lin made a point of acknowledging principal cellist Mark Votapek before taking his final bow.
