Need fixing?Auditions and casting begin this weekend for "Dream Makeover Hawai'i," a locally produced documentary that will provide a complete package of makeover services to one Hawaii resident.A "Dream Team" of Hawaii professionals will pool their skills to provide a full spectrum of life-changing services, including cosmetic surgery, cosmetic dentistry, and health, fitness and beauty consulting, to the winner. If you think you're in need of the total overhaul, show up for auditions taking place during the Hawai'i Woman Expo at the Neal Blaisdell Center. Hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at booths 316, 317 and 318. The program's aim is to capture compelling stories of regular people whose lives could be profoundly changed by a dream makeover.
Emme marks anniversaryEmme Tomimbang celebrates the fifth anniversary of her Island Moments by Emme collection with a fashion show 1 p.m. Saturday at Macy's Ala Moana, Island Attitudes, Level Three.The showcase of easy-care rayon dresses, aloha shirts and other island wear offers plenty of ideas for Aloha Festivals celebrations in time for the Waikiki Ho'olaule'a Friday night. Helping Tomimbang -- who's also celebrating 10 years of her popular TV show "Emme's Island Moments" -- will be some of her celebrity friends turned model for the day, Melveen Leed, Malia Gibson, Pauline Wilson and Mihana Souza. For more information, call 945-5894. While at the store, stop into Ku'u Home, Level Four, to watch festival-related Hawaiian craft demonstrations, including Deco Clay flowers.
