Windward CC offers
food for thought
Star-Bulletin staff
Did you do your summer homework? Windward Community College invited community members to read Eric Schlosser's New York Times best-seller, "Fast Food Nation," and start fall prepared to participate in events and lectures surrounding the food industry and supply issues raised in the book.
Now the fall schedule is finalized for those who did their reading. Even if you didn't, or prefer learning through talks instead of readings, sessions should prove informative and enlightening.
Here is the schedule of events taking place at the school, at 45-720 Keaahala Road in Kaneohe. All events take place in Hale Akoakoa Room 105, except where noted. For a past story on the project, see starbulletin.com/2004/06/28/features/story3.html.
