What does Labor Day mean to you?

"Probably stay home and just chill. Probably study. Kick back."

"Extra time off from school, and more time to sleep."

"Labor Day? It means no school. I'm going to the beach, probably."

Of all the television shows being filmed
in Hawaii, which one has the best
chance for success?

"I don't watch local TV. I watch DVDs, sometimes I go out and make my own music, (but) no TV."

"Actually, I hate television, so I don't watch it at all. It's a total waste of time for me. I only heard about 'North Shore' yesterday."

"None. I think they're all pretty cheesy. I saw 'North Shore' one time, and I didn't really like it."

Are you looking forward to another
season of "American Idol?"

"Yeah. I want to see people who try to complete their dreams. Like Jasmine (Trias), I was on her side the whole time, hoping she would make it."

"No, I don't really care about 'American Idol.' I don't know anything about the show, besides that Paula Abdul is on it."

"I haven't really thought about that. I'm not an 'American Idol' fan. I couldn't care less."

Barometer of Cool appears on Saturdays. Compiled by Jason Genegabus.
