Ritz-Carlton gets healthy for kidsThe Ritz-Carlton Kapalua has added "Healthy Taste" items to its children's menu, part of a movement throughout the international resort chain to address the junk-food habit among kids.
The menu features artwork by students from King Kamehameha III Elementary School in Lahaina. Gladis Medina and Latisha Cajudoy's drawings were selected from among 240 entries. Each winner received an overnight stay at the resort hotel and dinner in the Terrace restaurant. Call 808-669-6200. Also introducing a new keiki menu is Auntie Pasto's in Honolulu. Mini pizzas, pasta with several toppings, macaroni and cheese are among the offerings, as well as kid-sized salads and desserts. The menu itself includes puzzles and games. Call 523-8855.
