The parent of bankrupt Hawaiian Airlines led the Bloomberg Honolulu Star-Bulletin Index this week with a 22 percent gain in its shares to close at $7.20.
Hawaiian's bankruptcy trustee on Thursday endorsed a plan to bring the carrier out of Chapter 11 that would pay off all creditors in full and preserve the company's shares. The stock price of Hawaiian Holdings Inc. has grown seven-fold in the past year.
Big Island biotech Cyanotech Corp. trailed the index to close at $1.20, a loss of 3.2 percent.
