Ain’t that Grand!

BIA-Hawaii serves up 2004
Renaissance winners

Builders and architects are like master chefs of the construction world with a basic recipe that might read as follows: Combine raw ingredients of wood, nails and concrete. Mix in other desired materials to taste. Beat vigorously for an estimated two months. Add a dash of cement workers strike and let stand until settled. Fold in client's revision; mix for one more month. Bake until done. Serves the state of Hawaii quite nicely.

With fanfare fit for celebrity chefs, the Building Industry Association of Hawaii gave recognition to the islands' best in construction and design during its Renaissance Building and Remodeling Awards banquet held recently at the Renaissance Ilikai Waikiki Hotel. Shown here are two who received honors in the Overall Grand Award category, with more winners listed on Page D4.
