Olympic hat as head
of the U.S. delegation
UH Athletic Director Herman Frazier, head of the U.S. Olympic delegation, was in Longhi's Ala Moana last Saturday with Caroline Beal after shopping for the trip to Athens. He arrives in the Greek capital tomorrow. Herman said he is impressed with the U.S. security preparations for the American delegation. He has been involved with past Olympic games both as a 1,600-meter relay gold medalist and a 400-meter bronze medalist in 1976 and as an official. He told stories Saturday that drew the interest of Longhi's athletic bartenders Jason Hanna and Aaron Ferguson. UH Academic Advisor Amy Bair, the life skills program coordinator for several UH teams, later joined Herman and Caroline. Herman said the UH sports program will break even in the next fiscal year and that the football team "will probably have five games" on national TV this season ...
