United Airlines is offering introductory one-way fares of $363 and $320 between Chicago and Maui or Kona. A story on Page C1 Wednesday incorrectly said the fares were round-trip.

United Airlines is launching a daily roundtrip flight from Chicago to Maui with continuing service to Kona. The service will return directly to Chicago from Kona.

United will begin flying the route Dec. 16 using a 348-seat Boeing 777 aircraft. United recently restarted a daily nonstop flight between Chicago and Honolulu.

The airline is offering introductory roundtrip fares between Chicago and Maui or Kona of $363 for travel from Dec. 16 to Jan. 7, and $320 from Jan. 8 to March 8. Restrictions apply.

Hawaiian Air seeks extension

Hawaiian Airlines trustee Joshua Gotbaum and Boeing Capital Corp., the airline's primary aircraft lessor, filed a joint motion yesterday seeking a 12th extension to continue discussions on restructuring their aircraft lease agreements. The new extension expires Aug. 31.

Without the extension, Boeing Capital would have the right to repossess its planes under federal bankruptcy law. Hawaiian is trying to renegotiate leases with Boeing on 14 planes that comprise the airline's interisland fleet.

A hearing also has been set for today on a request by Gotbaum and Hawaiian's unsecured creditors' committee to push back reorganization plan deadlines about one month to give them more time to study proposals.

Recall does not affect all Camrys

A recent national recall of Toyota Camry vehicles built in North America does not include cars sold by dealers in Hawaii, which are made in Japan, Toyota-Hawaii said yesterday.

Toyota Motor Corp. has said it will take back 129,000 units of one of its most popular cars to replace airbags that don't inflate properly.

Car owners who suspect their Camry was made in the United States should contact a Toyota service center for diagnosis and repair, at no cost, Toyota-Hawaii said.
