>> Benny Agbayani (Hawaii Pacific) was not selected to the Pacific League all-star team despite hitting .305 with 21 homers and 62 RBIs, while Tsuyoshi Shinjo, Agbayani's teammate with the Mets, was selected to the team with a .263 average, 12 homers, and 33 RBIs. Only three foreigners are allowed on each team and Cecil Fielder once led both leagues in home runs and RBIs at the all-star break but was not selected to the team.

>> Bryce Uegawachi (Hawaii Pacific) was released by the Springfield-Ozark Ducks of the Frontier League on June 28.
>> Rex Rundgren (Mid Pacific) was promoted to the Double-A Carolina Mudcats after hitting .279 for the Jupiter Hammerheads of the Single-A Florida State league.
