Compelling Production: Reb Beau Allen talked between scenes with audience members Danel Verdugo and Taurie Kinoshita during a private performance of "The Rape of Lucrece" at Ward's Rafters on Sunday. The ugliness of rape and the tragedy of obsessive desire has rarely been presented more powerfully on the local stage. Jennifer Robideau touched the heart as sweet Lucrece. Allen was excellent as Tarquin -- a noble soldier overcome by lust.

Piranha Room Goes "Ibiza": Ari Green, left, Sondra Barker, Malia Song and Jane Woo enjoyed the Piranha Room action in the VIP area. The party was the second in Tanoue's "Seven Wonders of the World" series, and in keeping with the "Ibiza" theme, Ocean Club general manager Beau Mohr kept the club open until 6 a.m.
