Honolulu Police Chief Lee Donohue was honored yesterday at a retirement ceremony at the Alapai Street headquarters after completing 40 years on the police force. He became police chief six years ago. Seated next to him is his wife, Lucille. The police chief has said he feels good about leaving HPD in good hands and good position. Donohue has cited as his achievements national accreditation of the department and recruiting more Honolulu police officers.
