Celebrate the Fourth
Events include a parade
in Kailua and a party at Schofield

Get out of the house this Fourth of July weekend with the many celebrations going on around the island:
>> At the annual McKenna Motors BayFest 2004, people can celebrate for the whole weekend with bands rocking on the stage, carnival rides, games, contests and a fireworks show every night.
BayFest 2004 opens 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. Friday and noon to 2 a.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Marine Corps Base in Kaneohe.
People can already purchase admission tickets at all Oahu Papa John's locations and at the base. A one-day pass costs $7, and a three-day pass costs $16.
At the door, before 5 p.m., tickets cost $3 for children up to 10 years old and $5 for adults. After 5 p.m., tickets cost $5 for children and $8 for adults. Children under 4 years old go for free.
Proceeds go to the Marines, sailors and their family members who are stationed at Kaneohe Bay. For the schedule of events, visit www.bayfest-hawaii.com .
>> At the Kailua annual Fourth of July Celebration, the whole family can enjoy a parade, a festival and a fireworks show.
The event begins with the parade at 10 a.m. Saturday along Kainalu Drive. Following the parade, "Freedom Festival" will be held from noon to 4 p.m. at the Kailua District Park.
>> At the annual Fourth of July Spectacular celebration, the public can go to Sills Hill on Schofield Barracks from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday for children's games, infantry band concerts, local entertainment and a fireworks show.
All four Schofield Barracks gates will be open, and a photo identification card is required to enter.
