Sharks at Sharkey's: Anthony Griffith, standing between the sharks, got Sharkey's Comedy Club off to a great start at the club's VIP pre-opening show on Tuesday. Griffith's low-key style and G-rated insights on love, life, family and male/female relations quickly connected with the crowd -- and so did his response to a jerk in front who took a phone call during the show. Milton Banana, standing left, and Bo Irvine, standing right, opened the show. Local comics Shawn Filipe, seated left, Jose L. Figueras, Peter Bunn, Stan Egi, and Kaleo Pilanca, standing behind a shark, stopped in to support the new comedy club. Griffith headlines Sharkey's through tomorrow with shows at 8 and 10 p.m. Call 531-4242.

G and the Dungeonmaster: G-Spot, left, chilled with Dieselboy after the drum-n-bass star's powerful performance for a capacity crowd at the Planet of the Drums 2004 concert at Studio 1 on Saturday. D-Boy lived up to the buzz for his new album, "The Dungeonmaster's Guide."

A Class Act: Flash Hansen, third from left, and Matty "Matty Boy" Hazelgrove, right, were joined by Amy Jeuck in congratulating Fred Piluso and Scruples on behalf of the Wave Waikiki, Pussy Cat Promotions and Doorman Productions. Scruples and the Wave are both over 21 and both still under their original management.
