He was reporting missing at sea after his 25-foot fishing boat was found beached with its engine running at the Turtle Bay Resort. A search failed to find him. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Sandra J., daughters Suzanne Billington and Stephanie Shiroma, mother Daisy, brother Lawrence, sisters Sharon Nishino and Ruth Haitsuka, and three grandchildren.
