Hawaiian leads
The stock of Hawaiian Airlines' parent soared 24.1 percent to its highest level in eight years to easily post the best performance this week in the Bloomberg Honolulu Star-Bulletin index.
Hawaiian Holdings Inc. closed yesterday at $6.33 to push its year-to-date gain to 111.7 percent. The last time the shares closed higher was on June 5, 1996 when it reached $6.50.
Hawaiian Electric Industries Inc., whose 2-for-1 stock split became effective Monday, gained 3.9 percent to $25.33 as the second-best performer.
