Kame'e and Kala Jamile cleaned up yesterday after a runaway pickup crashed into the family's home on the corner of Aumakua and Anapanapa streets in Pacific Palisades. Shortly before 4 p.m., the Jamiles said, one of two children left in a pickup by their mother knocked the vehicle out of park, sending it down the street and crashing through a fence and window. There were no injuries. Kala Jamile said a similar accident occurred while he was growing up in the house during the 1970s. A car lost control and smashed through their hollow tile fence, he said.
