Hawaiian Airlines, Hilo Hattie partner to offer music CD

In celebration of its 75th anniversary, Hawaiian Airlines has teamed up with Hilo Hattie to offer a commemorative music CD featuring classic Hawaiian music from some of the state's top performers.

The CD is available free, while supplies last, to airline customers who spend $50 or more at a Hilo Hattie store in Hawaii; Orange County, Calif.; or Las Vegas. It was co-produced by Hula Records and Debbie Nakanelua-Richards of Hawaiian Airline. The carrier celebrates its anniversary Nov. 11.

Developer donates $20K to school

Castle & Cooke Homes Hawaii has donated $20,000 to Mililani Ike Elementary, Oahu's newest elementary school, which opened on Castle & Cooke land in January.

Company President Harry Saunders presented school principal Steve Nakasato with a check during a ceremony at the school in the Mililani Mauka subdivision yesterday. As Mililani's master developer, Castle & Cooke was obliged to donate the land for the school. Saunders said the additional gift was for the "future needs of the students, teachers and the administration of Mililani Ike."
