HONORING THE DEAD
Bishop Ryokan Ara, center, of Tendai Mission performed a service yesterday at the Honolulu Memorial Park for 141 of the early Japanese immigrants who died in Kuakini Home early in the 20th century. The home was built in 1932 to house the old plantation workers who had no families to care for them.
