Car crashes into bus on Waianae road

A 21-year-old man sustained minor injuries yesterday morning after his car collided head-on with a city bus on Paakea Road in Waianae.

Police said the man was driving eastbound on the road at about 9:50 a.m. when he drifted over the center line and collided with the bus.

The man had neck pain and was taken to the Queen's Medical Center in stable condition. No one on the bus was injured. Police said speed and alcohol have been ruled out as possible factors in the crash.
